Housing Opportunities Unlimited (HOU) provides relocation assistance and direct resident services in public and subsidized housing as well as consulting assistance to housing agencies for over 40 years.
HOU works in a diverse range of low- and mixed-income communities and specializes in assisting communities that are in transition due to major redevelopment.
Housing Opportunities Unlimited’s relocation services encompass the planning, surveying, relocating, and follow-up of each resident into their new or renovated living space.
HOU also focuses on the tracking and reporting of critical priority tasks, oversight, and administration during each phase of the project.
Housing Opportunities Unlimited’s Resident Support Services play a critical role in the success of communities.
HOU staff works closely with property management staff and resident governance organizations and acts as a liaison between residents, property management, and area social services that address each residents’ unique needs.
Housing Opportunities Unlimited provides support for real estate development and housing agency clients to fully comply with federal, state, and local housing regulations.
These regulations govern the parties engaged in publicly-supported construction and renovation projects involved in renovating rental and owned apartment developments in low-income communities.
HOU Relocation and Case Management staff holds certifications to perform Quality Standards (HQS) inspection of resident units for Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) and Moderate Rehabilitation Program compliance.
